Overview

The Meeting depicts one of the very first scenes in the first book of the Vampire Academy series. It is the scene where Rose met Dimitri for the first time, but this time it is in Dimitri's point of view.

After years of tracking, the guardians finally tracked down the Dragomir princess that ran away from school, and her dhampir best friend. It was quite the mystery how a couple of teenage girls managed to escape their detection for so long. Dimitri moved in on them on a Portland street.

When he saw Rose for the first time, he immediately saw her potential and talent, even though her moves were still clumsy from her discontinued formal training. He also made a promise to help her become all that she is capable of becoming, even though he just met her for the first time.
