These stories represent an effort through, among other means, total improvisation, tape recording, and collage, to get fiction back to the truth of experience. They involve a stylistic and biographical progression, moving from alienation to rebellion and, in quixotic pursuit of reality, from a fictive self to the real self to a mythic rendering of the present.
